Ambersun Alpacas is a multi-generational family business located in South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. We pride ourselves in our understanding of alpaca animal husbandry and the care we give to our award-winning animals, ensuring their happiness, wellbeing and enriched lifespan.
ALPACA EXPERTS SINCE 1992
Ambersun Alpacas was founded by Chris Williams and Adrienne Clark who started their love affairs with alpacas more than 30 years ago, making them one of Australia’s alpaca pioneers.
Starting as breeders and auctioneers in the field, the farm has grown steadily over the years and expanded into the development of other alpaca products as well as local tourism.
Our farm is located in the small country town of Mount Compass, around 50 minutes’ drive south of Adelaide. Our property spans 234 acres containing a large lake and forested mire that both teem with local wild life.
We are a bird watcher’s paradise – those lucky enough may be able to spot our native rakalis along the shallows and shoreline of the lake.
